This handcrafted piece is called the Chipoka Coffee Table. Featuring live natural edge cuts from an African Teak tree in East Africa, this table is sturdy, durable and gorgeous in person. From milling to sanding, to finishing, every aspect of this table top was done by hand in our Lilongwe, Malawi workshop. The legs are our signature dining table leg design, steel rebar repurposed into functional art.
Calling on historical elements of Mid Century Modern, this piece will enhance your dining area with elegance and one amazing story. Sustainably sourced and handcrafted in Malawi, our team of artisans take their time to meet the very high level of expectation that we have for all of our work. Named after the town of Chipoka in Central Malawi, the design language of this table is distilled and timeless.
In partnership with Root to Fruit, we are pledging to plant 15 fruit trees in the country of Malawi when this table is sold. The client can choose the tree species, will receive a certificate from the non-profit organization, and will also have a GPS location of where their trees have been planted in Africa.
