Featuring straight edge, modern cuts from a Mtangatanga tree in East Africa, this handcrafted table and bench are sturdy, durable and gorgeous in person. From milling, to sanding, to finishing, every aspect of this table top was done by hand in our Lilongwe, Malawi workshop. The legs are our signature dining table leg design, steel rebar repurposed into functional art.
Calling on historical elements of Mid Century Modern, this combination piece will enhance your dining area with elegance and one amazing story. Sustainably sourced and handcrafted in Malawi, our team of artisans take their time to meet the very high level of expectation that we have for all of our work. Named after the town of Likoma on Likoma Island in Malawi, the design language of this table is distilled and timeless.
In partnership with Root to Fruit, we are pledging to plant 20 fruit trees in the country of Malawi when this table is sold. These trees will help to offset deforestation and extend the life of communities. The client can choose the tree species, will receive a certificate from the non-profit organization, and will also have a GPS location of where their trees have been planted in Africa.
